TEMCo Step-Down Transformers are among the finest available to the users of such devices.

TEMCo Step-Down Transformers, as are our other transformer models, are offered in all-copper or aluminum windings.  The all-copper TEMCo Step-Down Transformers are produced using the highest quality pure electrolytic copper, as are all our other all-copper transformers.  This results in higher efficiency, longevity and cooler operation, and in longer and more accurate service life.  But lest you think the aluminum versions are a degrade to the copper, all the same care and attention is put into every power transformer to be made by TEMCo.

TEMCo Step-Down Transformers are based on the same vital mathematical formulas as all other transformers produced by anyone, so the active difference is the expertise, care, attention to detail, strict adherence to accuracy in the specifications, and selection of materials that really makes the difference.

 For some applications you might be able to use a Buck Boost Transformer or an Auto Transformer rather than a TEMCo Step-Down Transformer.  Buck Boost Transformers will act as either a step-up or step-down transformer, depending on how they are set up. In cases where they are used you only need to make up a small amount of rise or drop, so their particular design allows a lighter and cheaper transformer to be used. Check with our sales department to be sure of which type you should get.
